Christie Brinkley reportedly called New York police on her ex-husband Peter Cook at the weekend, after discovering his plans to alter planned travel arrangements and transport their two children in a single-engine airplane.

The model slammed Cook in a statement issued by her legal team last week over his decision to go public about their marriage split in a recent U.S. TV special.

Brinkley's backlash prompted an agreement between the pair, where Cook was ordered to take their daughter, Sailor, 10, and her brother, Jack, 13, to upstate New York for the weekend so they wouldn't see the segment air on Friday night.

According to the New York Daily News, the star - who survived a helicopter crash with ex-husband Richard Taubman in 1994 - called New York police when a frantic phone call from her daughter detailed the family's plans to fly to their destination, despite Cook's initial agreement to drive.

Officers reportedly stopped the plane on the runway at East Hampton Airport, where Cook gathered the kids into his car only to turn around minutes later to board another plane.

A source tells the newspaper, "She was crying, saying she was scared to get on the plane. Because of what she went through, Christie has always insisted that the family has to travel on a double engine plane with two pilots. He faked everyone out, got back on the plane and flew."

Brinkley and Cook's divorce was finalized in Suffolk County, New York on October 3.
